Version 2026-10-30 (rev. 6).
This policy explains what information the Prive+ apps (Prive+ for iPhone, Prive+ for Android and Prive+ Web at priveconnect.com/web, together "Prive+") handle, why, and the choices you have.
Prive+ is operated by Cristian Ciurea, Street Marte 34, Sinpetru, Romania ("we", "us"), who is the data controller. Contact: aladin0cristi@gmail.com.
Prive+ is an unofficial messaging client built on the Telegram API, with optional extra features run by Prive+'s own server:
Prive+ is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Telegram. Your Telegram account is governed by Telegram's own Privacy Policy (https://telegram.org/privacy).
When you sign in with Telegram, Prive+ talks to Telegram's servers directly from your device through the Telegram API, just like other Telegram apps. Your messages and related account data are handled by Telegram's servers: your phone number, name, username, user ID, Telegram contacts (including any contact you add in Prive+, which is also saved to your Telegram account), messages, photos, videos, voice messages, files, chats and channels, and the push registration Telegram needs to notify you. They are also stored on your device. Telegram handles them under its own Privacy Policy. We use this data only to provide the messaging features of the app; we do not use it for tracking or advertising. Prive+'s own server does not receive or store your Telegram messages, contacts or media. Prive+ never uploads your iPhone address book.
To link your Telegram identity to Prive+ features, Prive+'s server verifies your sign-in through the Prive+ Telegram bot and stores your Telegram user ID, username and display name (and profile picture, if public).
To draw your chat list, offline list and Spotlight results, the Prive+ iPhone app keeps a protected copy of your chat names, unread counts and (if you leave previews on) a short last-message preview, your per-chat notification choices, and your open chat for Handoff only on your device (encrypted by iOS file protection, never sent to us). It is erased when you log out, and you can turn the previews or the native chat list off in Settings & About. Handoff shares the open chat only with your own other devices through Apple; we do not receive it.
Offline reading (optional, off by default). If you turn on "Save recent messages for offline reading" in Settings & About, the Prive+ iPhone app keeps the text of the last 30 messages of your 20 most recent chats (media only as a label such as Photo, never the media files) in a second protected file on your device, so you can read them without a connection. It is encrypted by iOS file protection, never sent to us, shown only in a read-only offline screen, and erased when you switch the setting off, log out or switch Telegram account, and it is not saved while notification previews are hidden. The chat list copy also records the time it was last updated, so the offline screen can show "last updated".
iPhone Contacts and Face ID. If you add or edit a contact with a phone number in the Prive+ iPhone app, and you allow access when iOS asks, the app saves that one contact to the Contacts app on your iPhone and looks up that same entry (by its identifier or phone number) to update or remove it. Prive+ does not read, list or upload the rest of your address book, and nothing from Contacts is sent to us. If you turn on the optional Face ID / passcode lock, the check is done by iOS on your device; Prive+ never receives your biometric data.
Themes, wallpapers and saved contacts, in plain words. Your chosen theme, chat bubble style, wallpapers (including a different wallpaper for a single chat) and the iPhone Contacts entries you add through Prive+ are kept on your device only. We do not receive them. The offline chat list and the optional offline messages described above are also kept only on your device, protected by iOS file protection, and are deleted when you log out. We do not use any advertising or analytics SDK and we do not track you.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
Website Connect chats are not end-to-end encrypted. They are stored on the Prive+ server and are visible to:
Prive+ shows this notice in every Website Connect chat. Websites that connect to Prive+ are independent; their own privacy policies apply to what they do with this information. Do not share anything in a Website Connect chat that you do not want the website's team to see.
You can report a message or a person and block people in Website Connect chats. A report includes a copy of the reported message(s), the reason you choose and any details you add. Reports are visible to the website's moderators and to the Prive+ moderation team, who act on them within 24 hours and may remove content or ban accounts. A message you report is hidden for you straight away.
In Telegram chats, Report sends your report to Telegram. Prive+ also sends us a copy so that we can act on it in Prive+: the chat and message IDs, the Telegram user ID of the sender (when known), the reason you chose, and your Prive+ account. The text of the message is not sent to us. Block uses Telegram's own block.
If we ban an account for breaking the Terms, we keep its Telegram user ID, the time and the reason on a ban list for as long as the ban lasts, so that the account can't use Prive+ or sign in again. Prive+ apps download the list of banned Telegram user IDs and of messages removed by moderation, so that this content is hidden for all Prive+ users.
When you translate a message, its text is sent to DeepL SE (Germany) to be translated and the result is returned to you. DeepL processes the text on our behalf under its API terms and does not keep it for training. Translation only happens when you turn it on or tap translate.
To notify you about Website Connect messages we send a short notification (which may include the sender name and a short message preview) through Apple Push Notification service (iPhone), Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) or your browser's Web Push service. These providers receive the notification and your device's push token.
If you allow notifications in the Prive+ iPhone app, the app sends us your device's Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token together with your Telegram user ID, and asks Telegram to deliver push events for your account to the Prive+ server. Telegram does not send events for chats you have muted.
These events are end-to-end encrypted: your iPhone creates a secret key that stays on the device and is given only to Telegram, never to us. The Prive+ server passes each encrypted event on to Apple with a generic alert ("Prive+ – New message", default sound) and cannot read sender names, message previews, message content or even the type of event. On your iPhone, Prive+ decrypts the event and shows the sender and text (or a generic alert, depending on your Settings); for anything else (for example read receipts) it shows a quiet or no alert. Readable message content is never available to us and is never sent to Apple in readable form.
Reliable delivery. To make sure a notification reaches your iPhone, the Prive+ server keeps a copy of each encrypted event, still unreadable to us, until your iPhone confirms that it arrived. The copy is encrypted a second time with a key held only on our server, is stored only for this purpose, is deleted immediately when your iPhone confirms receipt (or when you open the app, which gets your messages directly from Telegram), and in any case after 24 hours at most. If no confirmation arrives, we send the same encrypted event to Apple again a few times (after about 20 seconds, 1 minute and 5 minutes). The confirmation contains only a random one-time notification number; it contains no message content, name or account. We never log the contents of these events. Apple's push service may also keep an undelivered notification for a limited time when your iPhone is offline.
To show the correct number on the app icon, the app keeps your current unread chat count on your device and also sends it to us while the app is open. We keep the device token, Telegram user ID, the last unread count and the time of the last notification until you sign out, turn off notifications, delete the app (Apple then reports the token as invalid and we delete it) or delete your Prive+ account. Legal basis: your consent (you can withdraw it in iOS Settings → Notifications → Prive+).
Secure connection is on by default and can be turned off in Settings. It routes Prive+'s own connections (to Telegram and to the Prive+ server) through a relay operated by us in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, so that Telegram sees the relay's address instead of yours. The relay forwards encrypted traffic; it cannot read your Telegram messages (they are encrypted between your device and Telegram) and it does not log their contents. It keeps only basic connection logs (IP address, time, amount of data) for security, for up to 7 days. It is not a VPN: it does not affect other apps on your device.
The Prive+ server and relay are hosted in the European Union (MojoHost B.V., the Netherlands). Service providers listed above may process data in other countries under appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
You can delete your Prive+ account at any time in Settings → Delete Prive+ account. This immediately deletes your Prive+ account, settings, follows, passkeys, app password and push tokens, removes you from website teams, and anonymises your name in Website Connect chats. It also signs you out of Prive. Your Telegram account is separate and is not deleted; you can delete it at https://my.telegram.org/deactivate. You can also email us to request deletion.
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Legal bases we rely on: performance of our contract with you (providing Prive+), our legitimate interests (security, moderation, abuse prevention) and your consent (notifications, translation). Email aladin0cristi@gmail.com to exercise your rights.
Prive+ is only for adults: you must be 18 or older to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We will post changes on this page and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
